People of Balkh Broke Record in Support of their Candidate!

On Friday, people of Balkh province with their gathering in the hundreds of thousands broke the record in support of their candidate. They showed that their unity and decisiveness will bring success to their candidate. It is estimated that around 500,000 Balkhis gathered in Mazar-e Sharif to show their support of Dr. Abdullah and his Reform and Partnership Team.

In his speech Dr. Abdullah talked about progress, construction, and basic economic and cultural structures as his priorities and said 'unless true friends of the people from inside the country come to power, no other person or country can do so for Afghanistan". He invited the people to continue the trend of partnership and unity to reach their goals. He promised to work for the people's wishes for a secure peace, reconstruction and welfare! He emphasized that his team will pay attention to eradication of poverty and work for social justice. He mentioned the importance of youth in the new Afghanistan and promised to give them a more robust role in his government. He did not forget women and insisted that he will create opportunities in all walks of life for women, especially in the area of learning and literacy.

 

Engineer Mohammad Khan and Haji Mohaqeq, the two running-mates as well as several prominent personalities also spoke.
