Dr. Abdullah Abdullah: Argu in Badakhshan is a Symbol of National Unity

Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Engineer Mohammad Khan and many others leaders of the Reform and Partnership team via land visited the victims of the Argu landslide. During this trip, they toured the areas stricken by the disaster and prayed for the souls of the dead and gave their condolences to the relatives and inhabitants of Argu.

After Dr. Abdullah assessed the situation and spoke with the people, he promised for long-term humanitarian aid with the coordination of those responsible, to be distributed. He stressed that the international community and other national and international organizations to send their aid as soon as possible.

During this trip, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and his team visited the people of Baghlan, Kunduz, and Takhar province as well. During his return to Kabul, he praised the people for generously helping the victims of the landslide and showing their sympathy towards their countrymen. Additionally, he stressed how aid and donation from all over the country clearly reveals that unity amongst the people of Afghanistan has strengthened and that a general society with shared values has been formed and consolidated after years of internal warfare.
